PROJECT
Summary

Evans Construction managed extensive renovations to address the deteriorating conditions of this public library which first opened in 1976. Undergoing major reconstruction, the only things that remain from the original building are the four exterior walls and some of the floor.

The project scope modernizing the facility included complete infrastructure overhaul, reconfiguring space for the circulation desk and staff work areas, as well as adding space for a business resource center, additional computer area, and expanded book collection.

Detailed landscape plans called for the addition of a beautiful outside reading-garden oasis. The new garden pays homage to the building’s original 1970’s design and incorporates modern materials and colorful plantings. Pavers and terra stone add texture and define the transition from the parking area to the library and new garden area.
